Mary Warner
Co-Executive Director, Finance & Operations
Mary is responsible for overseeing the administration and accounting for TREC and its associated organizations. Mary has a BA in Sociology and Global Studies from Laurier and completed the International Project Management Post-Grad program at Humber College, where she discovered her interest in bookkeeping, budgeting and financial reporting. In her spare time Mary loves getting outdoors and biking with her two young girls.

Ryan Collins-Swartz
Co-Executive Director, Business Growth & Partnerships
Ryan supports the development of social enterprises by using community bonds to help them realize signature projects. He has experience working in social enterprise in Canada and abroad, as well as in real estate, entrepreneurship, and education. He’s graduate of the Ivey Business School, a former Studio [Y] and StartingBloc fellow, and is forever a student of his local library and the world.

Sanderson Dear
Investment Operations Lead
Sanderson supports our services team in managing data and paperwork on behalf of our clients. He comes to TREC with a background managing the record label Stasis Recordings, and a strong interest in social and environmental causes. His downtime activities include writing and listening to music.

After spending a number of years in the music industry, Kate returned to school to pursue a degree in Mathematics and Linguistics at the University of Toronto. She now takes care of payables and receivables for the co-ops in the TREC family. In an alternate universe Kate produces animated short films for children’s television.

After spending 11 years as a Professional Accountant in the University of Benin in Nigeria, and gaining a wealth of experience, Ebosetale (Ebose) is bringing those skills to support the finance team and the co-ops in the TREC family in managing payables, receivables and other admin support as needed. In her spare time, she likes to watch movies and play board games with her two young sons.

Suzanne is a recent graduate of the University of Toronto’s Masters of Science in Planning. As Knowledge Lead, Suzanne researches community bonds and their application. In particular, Suzanne works to scale the use of community bonds by building awareness of the model through knowledge mobilization, translation and generation. Outside of Tapestry, Suzanne loves to sing, weave, climb and bike.

Ashley comes to Tapestry with a degree in Commerce with a concentration in Information Systems and background in banking and client services. As Investment Associate she supports investment management services and provides investment administration to all clients and their investors. Bill researched wise residential energy use in Ontario Hydro, and advocates for it in retirement. He also advocates for employee benefit security as a Director of his union’s Pensioners’ Chapter, and elsewhere.

Homaira provides advisory services to a diverse set of clients helping them navigate pathways towards a decarbonized, distributed and resilient energy future. She enjoys supporting communities in mobilizing funds and resources to help establish local, resilient structures and tools for unlocking a value-driven, optimal and sustainable range of solutions.
Steve Kuwahara LL.B, MBA
Steve retired in December 2023 after a 30-year career with CIBC. He has extensive commercial banking and corporate finance experience, and has advised a broad range of public sector and not-for-profit organizations, as well as for-profit businesses. Steve has an LL.B from Western University and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
Rebecca Black, MES
Rebecca is the founder of Black Current Marketing, a communications consultancy that works exclusively with companies and organizations developing low carbon solutions to climate change. She is also Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the capacity-building non-profit Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE).
Adam Singer
Adam is a strategy consultant based at McKinsey & Company’s Toronto office, where he leverages his cross-sector experience to translate insights into action. He holds a dual MBA & Master of Global Affairs from the University of Toronto.

Bobby is a strategist at RBC focused on solving challenging problems. In his former life, he was a litigator. Bobby is passionate about mentorship and driving positive change within organizations and in the commmunity.

Justin Sweeney is a community finance consultant helping place-based and purpose-driven financial intermediaries succeed through expertise in administrative design, capacity building, and fractional administration services.
Brian Iler, LLB – Secretary
Brian is a founding partner of Iler Campbell LLP, an innovative law firm with a primary focus on providing legal services and advice to Ontario’s charities, co-operatives, and non-profits.
Stephanie Rebello
Stephanie is a design researcher and strategist specializing in sustainability. Currently leading the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy at AIR MILES, she is focused on building equitable and inclusive communities, products and services.
Mritunjay Sinha
A social entrepreneur and an investor, Mritunjay (MJ) helped build a multi-million dollar micro-loan portfolio in rural India and helped create a co-operative that served over 200 entrepreneurs. For the last few years MJ has worked in impact and responsible investing. MJ’s passion for social change is complemented by his experience in capital markets, corporate strategy and global health.
Savraj Syan
Savraj Syan currently leads the social enterprise development at one of Toronto’s largest social service agencies. He has over a decade of experience in finance, strategy, and policy in both the private and NGO sectors, and has a proven ability to drive transformational change.
